Singer whose debut solo album earned her a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist in 2012. She has also performed vocal duties for the bands Entre Ríos, The Prostitution and Meteoros.
She lived in Miami, Florida until she was 5 years old, at which point she moved to Tucumán, Argentina. She began studying guitar at age 19, shortly after moving to Buenos Aires.
She contributed several songs to the soundtrack for the Ethan Hawke-directed film The Hottest State (2006).
She is the daughter of singer Palito Ortega and actress Evangelina Salazar. She is the sister of actress Julieta Ortega, singer Emanuel Ortega and producer Sebastián Ortega.
She was up against DJ Juan Magan in the Best New Artist category at the 2012 Latin Grammys.
