Known best for her starring role in the Once Upon a Time in China movie series, this Hong Kong actress also appeared in Casino Raiders (with Andy Lau) and in Swordsman II (with Jet Li).
Before making her cinematic debut in the 1982 movie The Head Hunter, she appeared in the soap opera Agency 24.
She acted with Canadian-born star Donald Sutherland in the 2001 comedy film Big Shot's Funeral.
She grew up in Hong Kong as the daughter of Cheung Bing Sai and film actor Kwan Shan. In the early 1980s, she was briefly married to Wong Kwok-sing.
She and Jackie Chan appeared together in several films, including Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars and Armour of God.
