Rosa Bonheur
Sculptor
French artist and sculptor known for her two their works: Ploughing in the Nivernais in 1848 and The Horse Fair in 1853.
She started her artistic training when she was twelve years old and copied images from drawing books and sketching models.
She was decorated with the Legion of Honour in France by the Empress Eugenie in 1865.
She was born the oldest child in a family of artists in Bordeaux, Gironde.
