R&B singer best know as the lead singer of family band The Isley Brothers.
At the age of three, he won a $25 war bond for singing in a competition. He began performing gospel music on stage at age seven.
With the Isley Brothers, he scored thirteen #1 albums between 1974 and 2006.
He had three children with his first wife Angela Winbush; he married his second wife, Kandy Johnson, in 2005.
He performed the song "Contagious" with R. Kelly.
