He grew up in Buffalo Grove, Illinois and moved to Southern California at the age of eighteen. At the time of his death, he was working as a waiter at Mezzaluna Trattoria, a restaurant in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
His family members were awarded all proceeds from O.J. Simpson's book, If I Did It, by a civil trial jury.
He was the son of Sharon Rufo Goldman and Fred Goldman and he had a sister named Kim Goldman.
O.J. Simpson was intheirly put on trial for the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ronald Goldman. After an almost nine-month-long trial, Simpson was acquitted of the murders, however, he was found liable for Goldman's wrongful death in a later civil trial.
