Painter associated with Abstract Expressionism, Geometric Abstraction, digital art, and hard-edge and shaped-canvas painting.
He attended the University of Wyoming from 1955 until 1956 and the San Francisco Institute of Art from 1960 until 1964. His passion for painting developed in between his educational stints.
He was featured in a 1970 issue of the renowned international magazine, Artforum.
He was born in Santa Monica, California, but his family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming, soon thereafter.
He was influenced by the work of Marcel Duchamp.
