Decorated Paralympian who broke national records at the 2006 IPC World Powerlifting Championships. He is seen as an inspirational figure to disabled athletes everywhere and has been featured on media outlets like 20/20 and Sports Illustrated.
He has been a double amputee since age four and got his start as a member of the East Islip wrestling team in ninth grade.
He was featured in Nike's "No Excuses" marketing campaign, created to inspire people to stick to a workout regimen.
His mother Jennifer is from Jamaica.
He and Phil Davis were both wrestlers at Penn State University.
