One-half with Roger Cook of Britain's prolific songwriting duo. Their You've Got Your Troubles reached the Top 10 in the U.S. and U.K.
He and Cook were members of the harmony group The Kestrels and took to writing songs together while on tour.
Their numerous hits included Deep Purple's Hallelujah, Doctor's Orders for Sunny and Carol Douglas, and My Baby Loves Lovin' for White Plains.
He was born in the Fishponds neighborhood of Bristol, England.
He also wrote Say You'll Stay Until Tomorrow, Tom Jones' Top 20 single.
