Roger L. Easton
Inventor
Scientist who invented the Global Positioning System (GPS), which is used worldwide, in the 1970's. He received the National Medal of Technology from George W. Bush in 2006 for his pioneering achievements in navigation.
He attended Middlebury College in 1943.
He was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2010.
He grew up in Vermont.
He was a fan of Thomas Alva Edison.
