Robert Zoellick

American banker who served as the eleventh President of the World Bank from 2007 to 2012. He started his career as a managing director of Goldman Sachs.
He earned a J.D. and Masters of Public Policy from Harvard University before serving as a law clerk for Judge Patricia Wald on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
He also served as Deputy Secretary of State under George W. Bush and was seen as a major architect of the Bush administration's policies regarding China.
He got married to novelist Sherry Zoellick.
He was nominated for the position of President of the World Bank by President George W. Bush .
