Robert Springer
Astronaut
Served as Mission Specialist on Space Shuttle missions STS-29 and STS-38.
He was a fighter pilot in the Vietnam War.
He did work for the Department of Defense while on STS-38 Atlantis in 1990.
He married Deborah Horchler and had four children.
He and fellow astronaut Charles Veach both flew combat missions in the Vietnam War.
