Robert Bentley
Politician
First known as a republican representative for the state of Alabama from 2002 to 2010. It was then that he was elected Governor of Alabama.
Between 1969 and 1975, he served as a general medical officer in the United States Air Force. He later went on to earn his M.D. from the University of Alabama.
Following his military service and education, he opened a private dermatology practice and several other businesses, the most successful of which was the Alabama Dermatology Associates.
He and his ex-wife Dianne have four sons through whom they have six granddaughters and one grandson.
He was preceded in the office of governor by former republican representative Bob Riley.
