American former hockey player most their for being a member of the United States team which upset the Soviet Union at the 1980 Olympic Games. As an NHL player, he played with teams like the Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers.
He won the 1979 NCAA Championship with the University of Minnesota.
He was played by actor Nathan West in the 2004 Disney film Miracle.
He has a daughter and two stepsons.
He won an Olympic gold medal for the United States alongside teammate Ken Morrow in 1980.
