She was a spokesmodel for Tomy Company, Ltd. early in her career.
She made an appearance in the 2003 feature film Koinu Dan no Monogatari.
She was married to Yoshikazu Kotani for several years before the couple divorced.
Both she and Sayumi Michishige were members of Morning Musume.
