Actor best known for his recurring role as Robin Tripp on the English sitcoms "Man About the House" and "Robins Nest". He appeared in Hollywood films like 1963's "Cleopatra" before retiring from acting in the 90's.
He grew up in Middlesex and first appeared on screen as a singing schoolboy in the 1953 film "The Yellow Balloon".
Though he had been retired for a decade, he recorded an exclusive DVD commentary track for the release of the film "Carry on Teacher" in 2006.
He was married to Diana Terry and Christine Smart, both of whom he eventually divorced.
He co-starred with pop singer and actor Sir Cliff Richard in two films during the 60's: "Wonderful Life" and "The Young Ones".
