He went to school in the United States, first living in Los Angeles before relocating to Miami, Florida.
He passed away unexpectedly from cardiac arrest at a Buenos Aires clinic at age 45. The cardiac arrest came as a result of gastrointestinal bleeding.
He was openly bisexual. His children Felipe and Marta were born of a surrogate mother.
He and Moria Casan were both judges on the 2012 season of the dancing competition Bailando por un Sueño.
