She won Miss Louisiana and Miss USA in 1975 before moving into television.
She also starred in the 1985 comedy Basic Training.
She married Van Fagan in 2001. The couple started Shear Enterprises LLC two years later.
She briefly played Henry Winkler's on-screen girlfriend in Happy Days.
