Australian rules footballer who played full forward and center half back for Richmond, Geelong, and St Kilda from 1968 to 1978; became a fishing journalist and TV commentator after his football career.
He was a policeman and a member of the national service before and during the early stages of his football career.
He scored 276 goals in 202 career games.
He raised a son and a daughter with his wife Lynne Hunt.
After his playing career he became a commentator, where he was known for his nicknames, such as calling Dale Thomas "Thomas the Tank."
