Rennie Harris

Hip-hop dance veteran known for founding the influential touring dance companies Rennie Harris Puremovement and RHAW. He is the recipient of many prestigious honors, including the Guggenheim Fellowship and the Alvin Ailey Black Theater Award.
He grew up in Philadelphia and formed dance troupes like The Step Masters as a teenager.
His dance company RHAW was chosen by President Barack Obama as cultural ambassadors for Dance Motion USA, touring in areas across the Middle East.
He danced alongside his brother in the troupe Cobra III.
His companies have toured with some of music's biggest artists, including pop icon Madonna.
