She started her Tumblr when she was 13. She began studying film and television in college in 2015.
She was featured in the Huffington Post and international publications for her response to the July 2015 #DontJudgeChallenge started by web video star Em Ford, which backfired dramatically.
She is of Ethiopian heritage and was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
