He started recording music in a studio owned by his cousin at age fifteen.
He founded the C.O.E. (Cash Out Entertainment) label in 2002.
His birth name is Tariek Williams. He is the third of four children born to his mother.
He and rapper Rampage both got their start as members of Flipmode Squad.
