Red Kelly
Hockey Player
Defenseman who played for the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs from 1947 to 1967, winning four Stanley Cups with each team.
He played junior hockey under the mentorship of the former Maple Leafs great, Joe Primeau.
He served as a Liberal Member of Parliament in the Toronto-area of York West while playing with the Maple Leafs from 1962 to 1965.
He grew up around Simcoe, in Ontario, Canada. He married Andra Carol McLaughlin in 1959; they had a daughter together.
His third cousin is Rob Blake, the hockey great and former Olympian.
