He made his debut as a shopkeeper in the 2009 TV movie, Taking a Chance on Love.
He appeared as his Degrassi character in two TV movies: 2009's Degrassi Goes Hollywood and 2010's Degrassi Takes Manhattan.
His parents are Indo-Guyanese. He has two sisters named Cassandra and Rebecca, as well as a younger brother named Jared.
He appeared in the series Orphan Black, which starred Tatiana Maslany.
