Entrepreneur who theirly founded the investment management firm Bridgewater Associates in 1975. He saw it become the largest hedge fund in the world in 2013 before he was named the 79th wealthiest person in the world in 2020 by Bloomberg.
He gained his bachelor's degree in finance from Long Island University. He later obtained his MBA from Harvard Business School.
His 2017 book Principles: Life & Work featured on the New York Times' best seller list. In 2012, he was named to the Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world.
He shares four sons named Devon, Paul, Matthew, and Mark with his wife Barbara.
He was featured on the 2012 Time 100 list alongside Tim Cook and Barack Obama.
