Malaysian politician who is known for having served as Vice President as well as Secretary General of the People's Justice Party. He is also known for having served as a member of the Parliament of Malaysia from 2013 until 2018.
He studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Leeds before working as an accountant in the United Kingdom. His involvement with politics started in 2013 when he was first elected to Parliament. He gained further attention in 2014 when he served as Vice President of Parti Keadilan Rakyat.
He is also known for being the founder of the whistle-blower organization National Oversight and Whistleblowers Centre.
He was born and raised in Besut, Terengganu, Malaysia and was raised by his father who was a rubber tapper.
He became involved in politics after prime minister Anwar Ibrahim was removed as deputy prime minister in 1998. As a result he joined the Reformasi movement.
