Croatian blues and folk musician known for his enthusiastic renditions of The Jolly Banker and other folk songs.
He began playing piano at age seven and was introduced to blues music in high school, which he marked as a major turning point in his life.
He was given a red accordion as a gift in 1992 and used it as a signature instrument for the next 20 years.
His grandmother was a singer of Croatian, Slovenian, and Czech folk songs.
He met singer-songwriter Greg Brown in Iowa and served as his piano player.
