Actor known for portraying Chesney Karib on the British television series Shameless. He later began playing Zeedan Nazir on the popular soap opera Coronation Street.
He made his screen acting debut in the 2006 family movie Mischief Night and went on to act in two episodes of Waterloo Road and in one episode of Doctors.
Actor Jimi Mistry plays his Coronation Street character's father, Kal Nazir.
He spent his youth in Manchester, England, and studied at the Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College.
He and David Threlfall were both series regulars on Shameless.
