She began playing video games at the age of two. Her first game was Yoshi's Island on Super Nintendo. Prior to developing any sort of online following she worked at a diner and at a video game retailer.
She launched her Purrluna YouTube channel in October of 2013. It was initially called TheGameKitty.
She dated Twitch gamer BikeMan. She also dated YouTube star Joe Vargas.
