Known for his childhood roles in the television shows One Tree Hill and Extant, he also appeared in the Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt science fiction film Looper and in the Zach Braff movie Wish I Was Here. Additionally, he was cast in the 2015 feature Tomorrowland.
He made his screen debut at the age of four in a horror film titled The Crazies and was subsequently cast in the ninth season of the CW's One Tree Hill.
He voiced the character of Tiago in the 2014 sequel to the animated film Rio.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, he was raised in a family of the Mormon faith. He has a sister named Poppy, as well as two other siblings named Steele and Knox.
He co-starred with Halle Berry and Goran Visnjic in the Steven Spielberg-produced CBS series Extant.
