Petar Mazev

Macedonian painter who was associated with the Expressionist movement. His mature, expressionistic style developed through several phases, including a Warm Phase and a White Phase. He joined artistic group Mugri.
He studied at the Belgrade Academy of Arts under the tutelage of Zoran Petrovic.
His individual exhibitions traveled the world, being seen in the United States, China, India, France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.
His family lived in Kavadarci, Macedonia at the time of his birth.
He was born in the same year as fellow expressionist painter Alfred Leslie.
