Singer who released the 1963 Billboard chart-topping single "I Will Follow Him."
Born Margaret Annemarie Battavio, she was discovered when she was thirteen and singing at her cousin's wedding. She was offered a record deal.
Her song "I Will Follow Him" was a cover of a French number by Franck Pourcel and Paul Mauriat, and its success prompted Mouriat to re-record a disco instrumental to the song.
She married Arnie Harris in 1969 and the couple had one child.
One of her songs was used in the film Sister Act, starring Whoopi Goldberg.
