Brazilian singer and multi-instrumentalist best known for his years as the leader of the alternative rock band Titãs. He is also an occasional actor who made his acting debut in the 2002 film O Invasor.
He trained in piano, sax and flute all before becoming a teenager. He grew up influenced by bands like The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.ds
He won a Candango Trophy for Best Score for his musical contributions to O Invasor.
He was married to Rachel Salém from 1982 until her death from lung cancer in2013. He has a daughter named Manoela.
He was classmates with future Titãs member Arnaldo Antunes in high school.
