Popular film dancer who appeared on Baz Lurhman's Strictly Ballroom, and was a judge on Dancing With the Stars. His other credits include Welcome to Woop Woop, The Dark Planet, and I, Robot, in which he worked as a movement consultant.
He was inspired by the hip-swinging Jailhouse Rock performance of Elvis, and enrolled in a local ballet school.
Growing success with the Sydney Dance Company led to his film role, which made him an object of lust almost overnight.
He had three children with his wife of over 25 years, Andrea Mercurio.
He and Brendan Cole were both judges on the New Zealand edition of Dancing With the Stars.
