Spent 19 years with the Northampton Saints, both as a player and as a coach.
He played for the Preston Grasshoppers before Northampton.
He retired as the all-time leading points scorer for the Saints and the English national team.
He resigned from coaching the Saints in 2012 in order to focus on his wife and children.
He helped England win the 2003 Rugby World Cup alongside teammate Jonny Wilkinson.
