Patricia Aakhus
Novelist
The American author of The Voyage of Mael Duin's Curragh, she was the 1990 recipient of Readercon's Best Imaginative Literature Award. Her other works include Daughter of the Boyne and The Sorrows of Tara.
She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz and subsequently received an MFA from Norwich University.
She won the prestigious Cahill Award.
She was born in California to Lowell and Betsy McDowell.
She and Alden Partridge both attended Norwich University.
