Television host and entertainer who became popular for his numerous appearances on French TV game shows.
He briefly worked as an actor on stage and screen in the 1960s before he moved to hosting game shows.
He hosted the French version of the UK show Countdown, and also presented poker tournaments for the French TV channel Direct 8.
He has two children, Axellle Laffont and Mathilde Laffont.
He and Dick Clark both hosted the TV game show Pyramid.
