He joined the Brumbies training squad in 2009.
He was named RUPA Newcomer of the Year in 2010.
His grandparents were Irish, with one being born in Belfast and the other in County Clare.
He and fellow Australian Joseph Tomane both played for the ACT Brumbies in Super Rugby.
