Nicknamed Rocky, he is a lead dancer and rapper for the South Korean boy band Astro that made their debut with a mini album called Spring Up in 2016.
He auditioned for Korea's Got Talent in 2011 before debuting with Astro.
He served as an assistant choreographer for the SBS Inkigayo Special UDF Stage "Six-Pack."
He was born in Jinju, South Korea.
He performs alongside Yoon San-ha in Astro.
