Winger and striker who was called up to the Peruvian senior national squad in 2011. At the club level, he has competed for such clubs as Alianza Lima, Paços Ferreira and Vitória Guimarães.
He began playing youth soccer for Alianza Lima when he was 15 years old.
He represented Peru at the 2015 Copa America and 2018 FIFA WOrld Cup.
He has a son named Gadiel.
He played alongside Paolo Guerrero at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
