Paolo Gucci

Business executive for the house of Gucci. He was appointed vice-president and managing director of the Gucci brand in 1953. He was fired a year later after mishandling business operations in one of their factories. He went on to form his own personal brand.
In 1985, Gucci loafers became part of the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art.
He eventually sold his shares of Gucci to InvestCorp.
He was the grandson of Guccio Gucci and the son of Aldo Gucci.
