Pamela Frank
Violinist
Famous for her wide repertoire and for the variety of orchestras she has worked with. She has been awarded honors such as the Avery Fisher Prize for her contributions to instrumental music.
She studied under Shirley Givens using the teacher's self-named method; Frank then performed for the first time with the New York String Orchestra at Carnegie Hall when she was eighteen.
She was on the faculties at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, as well as the Curtis Institute of Music and SUNY Stony Brook.
She married Andy Simionescu, who also plays violin.
She was born to and raised by world-renowned pianist Claude Frank.
