Rock 'n' roll performer who gained fame as the lead singer of Black Sabbath and became known as the Prince of Darkness and the Godfather of Heavy Metal.
He was abused by teachers while growing up for having dyslexia and other learning disabilities, and worked as a plumber and a slaughterhouse employee while listening to The Beatles.
Black Sabbath's 1970 album Paranoid included the iconic metal songs "Iron Man," "War Pigs," and "Paranoid," which was written in twenty-five minutes and hit #4 on the U.K. Billboard.
He got married to Thelma Mayfair in 1971, and after their divorce in June 1982, he married Sharon Osbourne on July 4, 1982. He and Sharon split in 2016.
He sang the #1 hit single, "Changes," with his daughter, pop singer Kelly Osbourne.
