Otmaro Ruiz
Pianist
Multi-faceted musician, composer, and arranger whose long career included stints as a jingles composer and studio musician.
He earned a Master's degree in jazz performance from CalArts in 1993.
He collaborated on the international jazz project JB Project with bassist Brian Bromberg and drummer Akira Jimbo, releasing two albums Brombo in 2003 and Brombo II in 2004.
His family exposed him to a great deal of music and art as a child. He studied piano, classical guitar, drawing, biology, and acting, to name a few disciplines.
He performed with many highly regarded musicians, including Herb Alpert.
