Actress who has won acclaim for her performances in major Nigerian films like The Figurine (2009), Anchor Baby (2010) and Fifty (2015), the latter of which earned her an African Movie Academy Award nomination. She is also an accomplished director, having directed such films as Being Mrs Elliot (2014) and Okafor's Law (2016).
She studied French at the University of Benin, where she graduated with honors. Her first movie, Bitter Encounter, was released in 1996.
She created the The Omoni Oboli Foundation to assist disadvantaged women and children.
She married Nnamdi Oboli and has children named Tobe, Chizi and Gozi.
She co-starred with Gbenga Akinnagbe in the 2014 crime thriller Render to Caesar.
