Nuri Bilge Ceylan
Director
Acclaimed Turkish director of artistic films such as 2006's Climates and 2008's Three Monkeys. His 2014 feature Winter Sleep won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
He became interested in photography as a teenager and earned a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
His 2002 film Uzak won the Grand Jury Prize and Best Actor Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
He married his Climates co-star Ebru Ceylan.
He and My Favorite Season director Andre Techine both won the Best Director award at the Cannes Film Festival.
