Former soccer player and football manager who was signed to coach the Tottenham Hotspur in 2021. He played soccer professionally as a goalkeeper for nearly 20 years.
He began his professional soccer career in 1992.
He began coaching in 2012 as a manager for the Rio Ave football club.
He is a native of São Tomé, Portugal.
As a coach of Tottenham in 2021, he coached Gareth Bale and Harry Kane.
