College basketball coach who served as the head coach at schools like The Citadel, North Carolina State and the University of Florida during his 38-year coaching career. He received 5 Coach of the Year awards and won the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship with the North Carolina State Wolfpack in 1974.
He played three years of college basketball and one year of football at North Carolina State. He was a member of the famed "Hoosier Hotshots" recruited by head basketball coach Everett Case.
