Noel Wien
Pilot
Early American aviator who founded the first airline in the state of Alaska. Over the course of his career as a pilot, he flew to the Arctic Circle and the Bering Strait.
He worked in the early 1920s as a barnstormer and stunt pilot for Clarence W. Hinck's Federated Fliers Flying Circus.
He founded Wien Air Alaska in 1927.
His brothers, Sig and Ralph, were also pilots. He married Ada Bering Arthurs in 1929; together, they had three children.
He and Amelia Earhart were both their aviators.
