He created a self-titled YouTube channel to share positive messages and create a positive impact based on speeches he has given. The channel has more than 70,000 subscribers.
His wife Megan is a teacher as well, teaching high school International Baccalaureate science classes. They have two sons together.
He and Peter Lik both specialize in nature photography to differing degrees.
