Lead singer and songwriter for the Swedish pop group The Cardigans who has also pursued a successful solo career.
She was one of the founding members of The Cardigans, along with drummer Bengt Lagerberg and keyboardist Lars-Olof Johansson.
"Lovefool" was the first song Persson ever wrote.
She married author and soundtrack musician, Nathan Larson; the two had their first child in 2010.
In addition to performing with The Cardigans, she collaborated with Danger Mouse on the track "Daddy's Gone" off of his 2009 album.
